This week, our class
has presentation about essential of teacher knowledge. Each group has the
different content and presentation method.
First group,
they talk about teaching speaking. Speaking is the
process of building and sharing meaning through the use of verbal and nonverbal
symbols, in a variety of contexts. Do you know? Speaking happens
in real time: usually the person you are talking to is
waiting for you to speaking right then. Teachers should try to use “real”
situations that require communication and collaboration between students. You
can use information gap, jigsaw activities, prompt card, and the hot seat to
teach speaking skill.
Second
group, they talk about teaching with technology. Teaching with technology is one
way for teachers. You will also get an inside look at best practices for using
technology to enhance teaching and learning – whether you teach in a traditional
classroom. Teaching with technology can deepen student learning by supporting
instructional objectives. However, it can be challenging to select the
“best” tech tools while not losing sight of your goals for student learning.
To
sum up, I think the presentation of this group is not so good because members
of a group cannot describe the content of their responsibility. But, the second
group presented very well. Because the preparation and each member of this
group know all content that they were presented.
